CAST IRON Skillet

Our beautiful cast iron skillet is a perfect choice for all kinds of cooking methods. What’s more is that; the skillset will make your food iron-rich and enhance its taste. Opt for a healthy cooking practice by using natural cooking ware.
Care & Maintenance
When going to use for the first-time, start by cleaning your new skillet. Gently clean with a mild dishwashing liquid detergent and water. Next, wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Apply any cooking oil all over and then heat the skillet over a medium flame. After 20 mins, remove it from the flame. Allow the skillet to cool down completely, before wiping off excess oil.
It is recommended to repeat this process several times before you actually start using the cast iron skillet. This procedure will be beneficial to get the desired cooking results.
With repeated seasoning and usage, the skillet will acquire a non-sticky surface and enhance the taste of any dish prepared in it.
Always store your cast iron skillet in a dry place after cleaning and seasoning. Avoid leaving your skillet soaked in water for long. We recommend cleaning the skillet immediately after its use.
Does it have a Naturally non-stick finish?
Yes, all our cast iron products are pre seasoned which makes the product non stick while cooking.
Is the black color on the pan normal?
The black oil is supposedly the seasoning oil which is completely harmless. Frequent cooking and treating of the products might make the oil disappear

Is it easy to maintain cast iron products?
Yes, use mild liquid soap to clean the pan and scrub them with a soft scrubber. Rinse and thoroughly dry the Cast iron pan with paper towels and rub a very light layer of cooking oil.

Use & Care – All The Indus Valley cast iron products are completely hand seasoned. But it needs cleaning and seasoning for few times before cooking. Once you received your skillet, clean it completely using mild dish-washing liquid and water. After cleaning, wipe it using a soft cloth and let it dry. Then, apply cooking oil all over it. Heat the skillet under medium flame for 20 mins. After 20 mins, switch it off and let it cool down completely.
Once it is done, use a soft cloth to wipe away the excess oil and store the skillet in a dry place. Repeat the process for 3- 4 times before starting to cook to get your desired result. On further usage, it becomes non-sticky and your food will taste the best.
